Summy Smart Francis started his first business venture at a young age of 14 where he worked at his Father's hotel in Lagos, Nigeria. At 17 the challenging task of managing one of the branches (Mullard Hotel) was handed down to him in 1998.

Summy Smart Francis was born in Ondo State in November 13, 1981, It's not clear when he first traveled to South Africa. But Summy Smart Francis obtained a degree in Computer science and a diploma in Art directing and copywriting from the AAA school of advertisement - a private tertiary education institution in Gauteng, South Africa. And a doctorate degree in entrepreneurship by the Brooklyn TB University, in United States.

Summy Smart Francis began his career in the business sector at about the age of 17 when his father saddled him with the responsibility of managing one of his businesses (Millard hotels) in Lagos, Nigeria. These early experiences helped him learned the business and to develop further interest in the field as well as management skills.
During his development as an entrepreneur, Francis experienced the challenges of limited capital and networks, but his understanding of these shortcomings with his unrelenting efforts to surmount them helped forged his successes along the path of entrepreneurship. He brings extensive knowledge in investments and a dynamic platform to Africa’s Young Entrepreneur (AYE) where he serves as President. His understanding of risk drives him to continue investing in many businesses across the globe.
In 2008 Summy Smart Francis formed Alien Rights Organization which advises and protects the rights of Aliens in foreign countries. He also works very closely with charity organizations that benefit the youth. He is also the Creative Director of MegaMindz Creation, Chairman and Chief Investor of SSF Investments, and he sits on board of other companies as a non-Executive Director.[original research?]
Summy Smart Francis is the Founder and President of Africa's Young Entrepreneurs, (A.Y.E) the World's largest entrepreneurship network with over 12.6 million members in 20 African Countries as well as the United States and Britain, that links the diaspora with continental investment opportunities continuing to impact their economies significantly.
Summy Smart Francis is the Executive producer of Africa's Biggest Entrepreneurship Reality TV Show. The A.Y.E Reality TV Show, produced in Nigeria and airing across Africa on MNET and terrestrial TV stations in Nigeria.
A.Y.E through the AYEEN program has empowered several thousands, with grants, equipment, specialized skills training, mentorship and a platform to network and showcase their businesses to the world. Summy Smart Francis is also the Director General of the Empower Borno Project that focuses on the economic redevelopment and empowerment of the internally displaced people of Borno State, Nigeria; a project that is gradually receiving recognitions locally as a possible means for a lasting solution to their economic challenges caused by the Boko Haram insurgency.
