Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Break Time[edit source | edit]

For MyAnimeList the producer company of the series is Studio Puyukai, but for Anime News Network it isn't that. Which company is the producer of series?--White DemΩn (talk) 12:21, 23 May 2016 (UTC)

Neither MAL or ANN's encyclopedia are very reliable sources (both being user generated), but looking at the credits on one of the episodes (at around the the 2:25 point) you can see that Puyukai is listed under Script error: No such module "Nihongo".. So yes, it appears they are the producer. G S Palmer (talkcontribs) 13:01, 23 May 2016 (UTC)
Thank you. I watched this episode, but didn't pay attention.--White DemΩn (talk) 18:28, 23 May 2016 (UTC)
The official website states that White Fox is the production studio. This was also the production studio that was listed when the anime was first announced.[1]Farix (t | c) 20:44, 23 May 2016 (UTC)
@TheFarix: White Demon is talking about the SD shorts, not the main series. G S Palmer (talkcontribs) 22:08, 23 May 2016 (UTC)

And two more that might help expand the character section, such as with information on how the VA's tried to portray their characters: "Re:ZERO" Cast Members Talk Characters, Returning by Death, & More and FEATURE: "Re:ZERO" Cast Members Discuss The Events of Episode 13. FEATURE: "Re:ZERO" Director and Composer Discuss Who The True Heroine Is: Emilia or Rem?. G S Palmer (talkcontribs) 22:44, 13 August 2016 (UTC)
@G S Palmer: Nice work on that Production section, though I was wondering if it was the case to split it into a light novels "Publishing history", an anime "Production" and a "Soundtrack" sections. Anyway, are you sure about that which shows how their designs later evolved sentence? I think the main characters' representation below still shows how they were earlier (when Emilia's uniform was resembling that one from The Irregular at Magic High School).--Sakretsu (talk) 11:08, 20 August 2016 (UTC)
@Sakretsu: Thanks. I had the same thought about splitting it up, though I hadn't considered splitting it beyond the light novels and the anime. As for the caption, I'm not sure if I see what you're saying. The image shows an earlier design for them, (the "Mahouka" design), and the caption is essentially trying to say "this is what they used to look like. Can you see the difference between it and how they look now?". Maybe instead of "how their designs later evolved", I should make it "how their designs would later evolve"? Or is that missing the point of your question? G S Palmer (talkcontribs) 13:50, 20 August 2016 (UTC)
I just split it into subsections - in your opinion, do they work? G S Palmer (talkcontribs) 14:06, 20 August 2016 (UTC)
Sure, they do work, but you can consider reorganizing them like this as well. I think both ways are acceptable. Regarding the caption, what I'm trying to say is that it might be kinda misleading, since one might guess the image is showing both the way the characters looked in the first place (back row) and how they later evolved (first row). Maybe something like Early concept art for the characters Subaru and Emilia, which points out why their designs later evolved. would be better, but if you feel like it shouldn't be changed, then leave it be.--Sakretsu (talk) 16:12, 20 August 2016 (UTC)
Ohhh, now I see what you're saying about the images; I'm just so used to seeing character designs organized this way that it didn't register. Yes, that could be a problem. As far as dividing up the production section between the various media sections... I would fight you tooth and claw on that. G S Palmer (talkcontribs) 16:20, 20 August 2016 (UTC)
Perhaps I should remove the second part of the sentence and make it just be Early concept art for the characters Subaru and Emilia.? G S Palmer (talkcontribs) 16:23, 20 August 2016 (UTC)
Yes, that would work as well.--Sakretsu (talk) 16:26, 20 August 2016 (UTC)

Wrong translation !Who translate the name?[edit source | edit]

「Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-」is wrong,it should be「Re: Life in a different world from zero」(Writing on japanese novel cover)-- Samishikute (talk) 10:06, 6 July 2016 (UTC)
For further information, see File:Re-Zero_kara_Hajimeru_Isekai_Seikatsu_light_novel_volume_1_cover.jpgany one who have permission to move this page please help fix it -- Samishikute (talk) 10:16, 6 July 2016 (UTC)
Samishikute, it is licensed name of the novels. Plus the anime are streaming by Crunchyroll under this name.--White DemΩn (talk) 10:33, 6 July 2016 (UTC)
@White Demon:yes, but the anime originated from novels! So the name「Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-」should only be written under anime but not the main name of full page. -- Samishikute (talk) 18:29, 6 July 2016 (UTC)
@Samishikute:, you didn't understand me, I guess. Yen Press translated the novels into English (there). According to Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Anime- and manga-related articles "Use the most commonly known English titles for article names and place the transliteration of the Japanese on the first line of the article. If that name includes special characters (such as ♥), do not include them in the article's title. If it is translated, this is usually the official English translation".--White DemΩn (talk) 18:41, 6 July 2016 (UTC)

"Ferris"[edit source | edit]

The article lists Crusch's retainer's name as "Ferris", which he is indeed credited as in the source (and in the character design image there). However, in Crunchyroll's subtitles, he is called "Felix" (as well as "Felis" one time, presumably by mistake?). His character profile on the anime's website also uses this spelling, so barring any objections, I'm going to change it to Felix in the entire article. G S Palmer (talkcontribs) 23:37, 10 July 2016 (UTC)

Agree I support.--White DemΩn (talk) 23:43, 10 July 2016 (UTC)
The problem is, the light novel website lists it as Script error: No such module "Nihongo".. Can someone who reads Japanese look at the light novels to see if there's perhaps a spelling inconsistency between the original and the anime? G S Palmer (talkcontribs) 01:46, 11 July 2016 (UTC)
Isn't "Ferris" Felix's commonly known name? We can note that "Commonly known as Ferris", I guess.--White DemΩn (talk) 09:59, 11 July 2016 (UTC)

Shorts[edit source | edit]

I just created a list of shorts for the series' episode list. I'm pretty sure that I got the airdates correct, but would appreciate if someone were to check me on it. The original source for the shorts lists the first one for a Friday, April 8 airdate, which was the day the first episode of the series regular aired on AT-X. Looking at the anime's website and at AT-X's website, it seems that Friday is the day that new episodes air on their channel, thus presumably it is also the day that the shorts are released. However, if you look at this source, it says that the short was broadcast on the 19th (which, by the way, doesn't line up with any AT-X broadcast). Plus, if you go back through the archives of the series' news page, it will show that the episodes weren't posted online until 4 days after the initial broadcast seemingly took place (i.e., episode 1 wasn't posted until the 12th). Given the above evidence, plus the fact that Crunchyroll is simulcasting the series on Fridays, I'm going to list that as the airdate for the series. G S Palmer (talkcontribs) 14:04, 31 July 2016 (UTC)

Image?[edit source | edit]

I just split the character list from this article into a separate page (List of Re:Zero -Starting Life in Another World- characters). It would be nice to have a picture of the main cast that we could put at the top of the article, but I can't find one that really seems like it would fit. Here are a few possibilities: this shows about all of the major characters, but it's a bit crowded. Plus Subaru isn't very prominent. This is okay - if we could find a better resolution version. It would also be nice if the characters weren't divided up like that. This one, from a full page spread in vol. 3 of the 2nd manga series, shows the most prominent characters pretty well - except Subaru's face isn't visible. A full page spread from vol. 1 of the first manga could also be usable - except it only has the characters from the first arc, and frankly, the art isn't great. And then there's this, which focuses on the characters from the 3rd arc. And of course there's the promotional image for the anime, but everyone is positioned oddly in that. Any thoughts on which one might be best? Any suggestions for better ones? (Of course, we could also use the promo art for the SD shorts...). G S Palmer (talkcontribs) 00:07, 20 August 2016 (UTC)

"Radio CD"[edit source | edit]

Can someone who knows Japanese look at this (also here) and figure out whether it's an audio drama or something else? Thanks. G S Palmer (talkcontribs) 13:29, 27 August 2016 (UTC)

G S Palmer, according to my knowledge this is a radio show, named Script error: No such module "Nihongo".. The show began broadcasting on March 28, 2016 and is broadcast on every Monday (21:30). Rie Takahashi (Emilia) hosts the show. Guests that appeared on the show included Yuusuke Kobayashi (Subaru), Inori Minase (Rem), Yumi Uchiyama (Puck), Rie Murakawa (Ram), Satomi Arai (Beatrice), Chinatsu Akasaki (Felt), Kana Ueda (Anastasia Hoshin) and Yui Horie (Felix). But I don't know that this facts are mentioned here.--White DemΩn (talk) 17:46, 27 August 2016 (UTC)
@White Demon: I guess what it comes down to is, is it worth including it in the Media section? G S Palmer (talkcontribs) 20:02, 27 August 2016 (UTC)
@G S Palmer: I added.--White DemΩn (talk) 22:16, 27 August 2016 (UTC)

Expanded plot summary[edit source | edit]

I'm thinking of nominating this for GA status in the near future. But before that happens, could someone write a proper plot summary for the series? Right now it's far too short. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 12:01, 25 November 2016 (UTC)

I've had the same thought, but don't have the time right now. I hope somebody will, though. G S Palmer (talkcontribs) 02:54, 26 November 2016 (UTC)
Pinging Tintor2 as he's usually the guy who does plot summaries around here. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 00:07, 27 November 2016 (UTC)
Sorry, but my summaries tend to be full of typos. Also the plot summary should follow the novel, not the premise. Additionally, there is so much information about the anime that it could be given its own article. Maybe we should consider asking more members from the Wikipedia project. Rem/Ram's Birthday & See Also Section[edit source | edit]

Rem/Ram's birthday:
A ton of stuff has happened to celebrate Rem and Ram's birthday. Should this be added to the article, as well as the sheer popularity of the two characters (especially Rem)?

"See Also" Section:
Can we delete the stuff in there? The stuff about All You Need is Kill is completely irrelevant to the topic.

Nyantatata (talk) 03:00, 13 February 2017 (UTC)

Sure, if you can find a good way to work it in, go for it. Another alternative would be to add it to their entries on the character list, which already has some rudimentary reception material. As for the See also section, I disagree: according to WP:SEEALSO, "links in the "See also" section might be only indirectly related to the topic of the article because one purpose of "See also" links is to enable readers to explore tangentially related topics." All You Need is Kill is definitely related to the series, since, as a light novel, it falls under the same category of entertainment (that covered by WP:ANIME), and it also uses the same time-travel mechanism. G S Palmer (talkcontribs) 09:06, 13 February 2017 (UTC)
Thank you. also looking at the characters section, is this based off of the anime or the entire series including the LN? Because looking at the character's page Rem is listed as a main character. She's not a main character in the entire series (there's arcs she's 100% absent from) but was a main character in the anime. Rem and Ram in the overall series are roughly equal in terms of importance including the LN (the main source material), which I am up to date on. So if Rem's a main, Ram's a main, or they both should be supporting characters. Personally I feel the altter, they are prominent supporting characters.Nyantatata (talk) 03:08, 14 February 2017 (UTC)
It should be based on the entire series. I'm not up to date on the light novels, so I would defer to your judgement on the matter. However, since she's definitely a main character in the anime, I personally would hesitate to remove her from the main character section. G S Palmer (talkcontribs) 22:44, 14 February 2017 (UTC)
So then maybe we should move Ram up? In the following arcs she does do similar roles to Rem did in the first couple. Nyantatata (talk) 00:57, 15 February 2017 (UTC)
Alright, I've done that for now. G S Palmer (talkcontribs) 01:59, 15 February 2017 (UTC)
Awesome. Hopefully in the coming days I can add a few LN exclusive things. Nyantatata (talk) 06:19, 15 February 2017 (UTC)
